Baja California launches testament month to facilitate estate planning

The Government of Baja California has launched the ‘September, Testament Month 2026’ campaign to facilitate estate planning for families. Through a collaboration agreement between the Executive Power and the College of Notaries of Baja California, the initiative offers a 100 percent exemption on fees for the review and safeguarding of testamentary dispositions at the General Archive of Notaries.

Under the program, notary fees for issuing wills will be set at a preferential rate of 1,500 pesos. The campaign is active throughout September and can be accessed through 85 public notary offices across the state, including locations in Tijuana, Mexicali, Ensenada, Tecate, Playas de Rosarito, San Quintín, and San Felipe.
