Baja California offers 50% discount on birth registration in Mexicali
The Government of Baja California, through the General Secretariat of Government, has announced a 50 percent discount on birth registration procedures in Mexicali as part of the ‘Soy México 2026’ campaign. The benefit is available until August 31.
The program is specifically designed for children and adolescents aged 0 to 17 who were born in the United States to Mexican parents and currently live or study in Baja California. This process allows minors to obtain their Mexican birth certificate and CURP, enabling them to access various services and rights within Mexico.
To complete the registration, applicants must visit a local civil registry office with a birth registration request, a legible copy of the minor's U.S. birth certificate, the Mexican parents' birth certificates in QR format, parental identification, and a certified CURP for one or both parents.
