Baja California Oversight Commission issues 250+ public account rulings
The Public Spending Oversight Commission of the Baja California State Congress has issued over 250 rulings regarding public accounts for the 2024 fiscal year. During its fifth ordinary session, the commission reviewed individual reports presented by the Superior Audit Office of the State of Baja California (ASEBC).
As a result of the oversight process, the commission issued non-approval rulings for the public accounts of the Institute for Real Estate and Housing Development for the State of Baja California (INDIVI) and the Municipal System for Integral Family Development of Rosarito (DIF Rosarito). In contrast, the State DIF and FOGABAC received perfect scores of 100 in the quantitative evaluation.
Common observations noted during the review included unpaid income tax (ISR), discrepancies between public accounts and transparency portals regarding real estate, and the distribution of aid without presenting beneficiary requests.
