Baja California Círculo de Protección assists 11,000+ minors

The Baja California government, in collaboration with UNICEF and DIF Baja California, has provided assistance to 11,281 children and adolescents through the Círculo de Protección strategy. This initiative is designed to offer a safe environment and institutional support for minors arriving alone at the border or those being repatriated from the United States, particularly unaccompanied minors.

Of the total assisted, 8,685 children and adolescents achieved immediate reintegration through the program's protection spaces. The network includes several specialized facilities, such as the Jasson and Alexander First Reception Center, Villa Albatros in Ensenada, and the Santuario Migrante facility, which has served individuals from over 65 different nationalities.
