Baja California reports seven fraud complaints per day
Baja California has seen a shift in fraud reporting trends. According to data from the Secretariado Ejecutivo del Sistema Nacional de Seguridad Pública (SESNSP) analyzed by TResearch International, the state recorded 3,806 fraud complaints between January 2025 and June 2026.
This total represents an average of seven reports per day, or approximately one every three and a half hours. This volume places Baja California at 14th place nationally among Mexico's 32 states, a drop from its previous position in the top 10 held between 2021 and 2023. The state's current fraud rate of 1,010 cases per million inhabitants is 24% below the national average.
