Baja California states advance infrastructure and labor initiatives

The states of Baja California and Baja California Sur are seeing significant developments in infrastructure, education, and labor. In Baja California Sur, the SNTE Section 3 is managing a second package of over 1,000 teaching positions to provide job security for educators, following commitments made by President Claudia Sheinbaum. Additionally, the state reports an employability rate exceeding 98% among the working-age population, driven largely by demand in sectors like Los Cabos.

In Baja California, Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda highlighted federal coordination to advance strategic projects. These include the Tijuana Elevated Viaduct, the modernization of the Port of Ensenada, and the Playas de Rosarito desalination plant. Educational expansion is also underway, with the Universidad Nacional Rosario Castellanos and the addition of 4,500 new educational spaces across several high schools in Mexicali, Tijuana, and Ensenada.
