Baja California Sur announces regional festivals for October 2026 and Santa Rosalía anniversary

Authorities in Baja California Sur have announced several upcoming cultural and gastronomic events. The third edition of the Cheese and Wine Festival is scheduled for October 24, 2026, in Comondú at the SUTERM baseball stadium. The event aims to boost gastronomic tourism and will feature a regional horse parade, artisanal goat and bovine cheese competitions, and regional wine showcases. Participation for local producers is free, with eight traditional cheesemakers and twelve artisanal wineries expected to attend.

Additionally, the municipality of Mulegé has released the program for the 141st Anniversary of the Foundation of Santa Rosalía, taking place from October 29 to November 1. The festivities include religious services, Day of the Dead altar exhibitions, and various sporting events such as basketball matches and a 5 and 10-kilometer race. The celebration will also feature musical performances and a 'Crazy Cars' race on the Mesa Francia boulevard.
