Baja California Sur promotes wellness tourism with new festivals
Baja California Sur is expanding its tourism sector by focusing on wellness and holistic health through the upcoming Todos Santos Wellness Fest and the Loreto Live Well Experience. These initiatives are part of the “Wellness es Baja California Sur” strategy, supported by the State Tourism Trust (FITUES) and the Secretariat of Tourism and Economy (SETUE).
The Todos Santos Wellness Fest, scheduled for November 2026, is expected to host approximately 300 participants, including instructors from Mexico and the United States. The event will feature activities such as yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and conscious movement. To encourage local participation, residents can access a 50 percent discount using the promotional code VISITBCS.
Rosa Maribel Collins Sánchez, head of SETUE, stated that the goal is to leverage the region's natural landscapes, gastronomy, and culture to create a wellness ecosystem. This diversification aims to attract travelers interested in healthy lifestyles while generating economic benefits for local hotels, restaurants, transporters, and community producers.
