Baja California universities celebrate major graduation ceremonies

Major universities in Baja California, Mexico, celebrated significant graduation ceremonies for new professionals and postgraduate students.

The Universidad Tecnológica de Tijuana (UTT) held its 2026 academic ceremony at Estadio Toros Mobil Park, graduating 1,077 students. This cohort represents the largest in the institution's 28-year history and includes its first generation of master's degree recipients, specifically eight graduates in Industrial Process Management Engineering. Rector Salvador Morales Riubí noted that many of these students are the first professionals in their families.

In La Paz, the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur (UABCS) conferred 192 undergraduate degrees and 12 postgraduate degrees. During the ceremony, Rector Dante Salgado González urged graduates to practice their professions with ethics and social commitment. The university, currently celebrating its 50th anniversary, has expanded its academic offerings from 17 to 53 undergraduate programs between 2017 and 2026.
