Princess Sisi and Princess Diana: Tragic life parallels

On the anniversary of Princess Sisi’s death, comparisons are being drawn between her life and that of Princess Diana. Despite being separated by a century, both women shared striking parallels in their experiences.

Both princesses entered strict royal systems at a young age and faced significant psychological burdens and unhappy marriages. Their immense global popularity acted as both a blessing and a curse, ultimately leading to tragic ends. Sisi, the Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary, was assassinated in Geneva in 1898, while Princess Diana died in a car accident in Paris in 1997.
