Bajina Bašta completes 14.2 million dinar school renovations

The municipality of Bajina Bašta is nearing the completion of a 14.2 million dinar reconstruction project for the ‘Josif Pančić’ Gymnasium and the Technical School. The investment aims to modernize educational facilities and improve safety and functionality for students and staff.

The funding was provided through a combination of 9.7 million dinars from the Ministry of Education’s ‘Two Schools – One STEAM’ project and 4.5 million dinars from the Bajina Bašta municipality. The renovations address long-standing issues, including a leaking roof that damaged walls, ceilings, and equipment, as well as the complete reconstruction of restrooms and the upgrading of science laboratories for chemistry, physics, and biology.

Mayor Milenko Ordagić announced that further investments are planned, including a 36 million dinar project focused on energy efficiency for local schools.
