Bajina Bašta: Man hospitalized after swarm of hornets attack

A 64-year-old man, Milorad Janković, was hospitalized after being attacked by a swarm of hornets in the village of Ovčinja near Bajina Bašta. The incident occurred while Janković and his nephew were transporting firewood using a tractor.

The swarm, located in a nest within a dry cherry tree, reportedly became agitated as they passed. Janković sustained more than 30 stings, describing the experience as an overwhelming sensation of being hit by a whole hive.

After receiving initial treatment at a local health center, medical staff determined he required further care, and he was transferred to a hospital in Užice.
