Bakari Shingo urges drivers to seek training for new vehicle technologies

Bakari Shingo, the Member of Parliament for Ukonga, has called on drivers across Tanzania to return to vocational training to keep pace with rapidly evolving automotive technologies. Speaking on September 25, 2026, during a visit to the Future World Vocation Institute in Chanika kwa Ndevu, Dar es Salaam, Shingo emphasized that modern vehicles differ significantly from those used in previous years.

Shingo noted that continuous education is essential for understanding modern vehicle systems, road safety regulations, and the correct use of new technologies. He addressed concerns from Class C license holders who questioned the necessity of retraining, explaining that specialized vocational training is the most effective way to ensure professional competence and road safety in an era of constant technological change.
