Baker Mayfield commits $80,000 to youth sports via foundation

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his wife, Emily, have announced an $80,000 commitment to youth sports through the Baker Mayfield Foundation. In partnership with the organization Good Sports, the initiative will provide new sports equipment to children in Tampa Bay, Central Florida, and Oklahoma.

The donation is part of the foundation’s ‘BE Strong’ initiative, which seeks to remove financial barriers that prevent children from participating in athletics. The foundation stated that the goal is to ensure cost does not keep children on the sidelines, emphasizing that sports help build friendship, self-trust, and confidence.

On the field, Mayfield recently returned from a three-game absence due to a dislocated right thumb, leading the Buccaneers to a 43-13 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
