Baker Mayfield expresses confidence in Buccaneers' championship potential

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield expressed optimism regarding the team’s potential for a championship run. Entering the final year of his contract, Mayfield noted that the team has added the correct pieces across offense, defense, and special teams to compete for a Super Bowl.

Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles stated that Mayfield remains highly motivated regardless of his contract status. Regarding injuries, wide receivers Emeka Egbuka and Jalen McMillan are reportedly recovering well, with their availability to be determined next week.

In other NFC news, the Atlanta Falcons have not yet finalized their starting quarterback decision between Michael Penix and Tua Tagovailoa. The Falcons roster currently includes four quarterbacks to mitigate injury risk. Meanwhile, Carolina Panthers general manager Dan Morgan confirmed a commitment to keeping five tight ends on the active roster.
