Bakery traditions and expansions continue in Kraków
The culinary landscape in Kraków is seeing both the preservation of long-standing family traditions and the expansion of established local brands.
Binkowskich Bakery, located on Długa Street, has been a staple for Kraków residents for over seventy years. Originally founded by Feliks Adamski, the business has transitioned through generations. Following the loss of two previous locations during the state-owned era, the family established its current site in the 1950s. Today, the bakery is managed by Adamski’s grandsons, Tomasz and Michał, who balance management duties with active production roles.
In a separate development, the Lajkonik Bakery and Café brand has expanded its presence in the city. A new location at Żółkiewskiego 10 opened in August, following a rapid interior construction process managed by the firm Reesco. The project required strict coordination of materials and labor to meet a non-negotiable opening deadline.
