Kayseri workers strike over unpaid wages at Kartal Kavşağı Project

Workers at the Kartal Kavşağı Project construction site in Kayseri have launched a work stoppage protest, alleging they have not received their salaries for approximately two months. The protest involves the halting of trucks and heavy machinery at the YAFA Grup construction site.

In addition to unpaid wages, workers have raised allegations that contractor officials attempted to force them to sign resignation documents and threatened them with police intervention or removal from the site.

MHP Kayseri Deputy Baki Ersoy and YENİ Party Kayseri Deputy Aşkın Genç have both voiced support for the workers. Ersoy stated that the contractor has a moral obligation to pay the workers' wages and vowed to follow the matter until their rights are secured. Genç highlighted that the project involves 865 million lira in tender value and international financing, questioning why workers are facing such hardships.
