Baksı Museum hosts new exhibitions by Zeki Demirkubuz and Mike Berg

The Baksı Museum in Bayburt has launched two simultaneous exhibitions featuring the works of director Zeki Demirkubuz and American artist Mike Berg. Both exhibitions are scheduled to remain open to visitors until October 30.

Zeki Demirkubuz presents a photography series titled ‘Hayatta ve Fotoğrafta En İyi Pozu Yalnızlar Verir’. The collection features landscapes and snapshots of human life captured across Europe, America, and Asia. Moving away from his cinematic narrative style, these photographs focus on the daily lives and moments of solitude of individuals from various geographies.

Mike Berg’s exhibition, ‘Kuramdan Arınmış’, explores the relationships between surface, form, and volume using kilim (rug) materials. Through the use of stitches and knots, Berg creates textures that examine the tension between line, void, and surface, producing works that simultaneously evoke two-dimensional and three-dimensional perceptions.

During the opening, Baksı Museum founder Prof. Dr. Hüsamettin Koçan emphasized the institution's mission to bring art to wider audiences by merging local values with universal artistic understandings.
