Baku implements traffic and bus route changes for Formula 1
Baku is implementing significant traffic and public transport changes in preparation for the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) announced that various regular and express bus routes will undergo temporary schedule and route modifications.
From September 19 at 21:00 to September 21 at 00:00, 13 bus routes will operate via alternative streets. Between September 21 and September 26, a total of 26 routes will have altered movement schemes to accommodate the event.
Additionally, the Baku City Circuit Operation Company stated that streets along the racing circuit will be closed to general traffic from September 20 at 01:00 until September 28 at 08:00. Access to these restricted zones will be limited to those holding a residential entry permit. To assist residents and drivers, specific transit corridors and time-limited access windows will be provided at key intersections during the race period.
