Baku opens Inclusive Training and Teaching Center
An Inclusive Training and Teaching Center has been established at the Baku State Vocational Training Center for Culture and Craftsmanship. The initiative is part of the ‘SkillBridge – Inclusive Education for Inclusive Employment’ project, implemented by the ‘Birgə və Sağlam’ (Together and Healthy) Public Union with financial support from SOCAR Midstream Gas Operations and partners of the South Caucasus Pipeline.
The center aims to develop professional skills and expand sustainable employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and neurodiversity. The facility includes four workshops equipped for training in graphic design, web design and software, interior and exterior artistic design, wood carving, and retail/cashiering roles. Additionally, a specialized workshop provides practical training for neurodiverse youth in confectionery, barista, and clerical professions.
The project targets the assessment of 200 individuals, the enrollment of 100 participants in training programs, and the guaranteed employment of at least 60 people. The opening ceremony was attended by Alyona Aliyeva, along with representatives from various state agencies, project partners, and public organizations.
