Balaguer school expansion tender abandoned after no bids

Companies indicated that a 15‑18 % increase was needed for the project to be feasible. The town council, led by Mayor Lorena González, has negotiated with the Catalan Department of Education to raise funding to €4.2 million and is seeking a new round of bidding. Parallel to the school project, the council will also consider approval of a €230 000 heating upgrade for the local Patufet nursery.
