Balaguer suspects face trial for attempted attic robbery

Two men, aged 20 and 25, are facing a rapid trial in Balaguer following an attempted robbery in the city's historic center. The suspects were detained by Mossos d’Esquadra on September 10 after allegedly attempting to enter an attic through a hole made in the roof tiles.

The suspects reportedly used a ‘butrón’ method to attempt to steal lead and other valuables. They also allegedly removed a grate from another attic in the same building but failed to retrieve any items. The arrests were made possible through citizen cooperation, as neighbors identified the individuals to local police.
