Russian airstrikes hit the town of Balaklia in Ukraine's Kharkiv region during the night, killing three civilians – two women and one man. The first strike hit a single‑family house, killing a woman and igniting a fire. A second strike near another house killed a man and a woman. The attacks were reported by Vitally Karabanyov, head of the city's military administration, on Telegram.
The Russian Defence Ministry said its forces also struck two cargo ships near the port of Odesa on the Black Sea, claiming the vessels were carrying military material. The announcement was relayed by the news agency TASS.
Ukraine has intensified its own strikes on Russian‑held territory, targeting facilities of the Russian e‑commerce firm Wildberries and energy infrastructure.
