Balasar Eucharistic Sanctuary to hold dedication ceremonies in October

The Archdiocese of Braga and the Alexandrina de Balasar Foundation have announced the upcoming dedication ceremonies for the new Balasar Eucharistic Sanctuary in Póvoa de Varzim.

The event schedule features two primary milestones in October. On October 10 at 10:00, the remains of Blessed Alexandrina Maria da Costa will be transferred from the Balasar parish church to the new sanctuary. This will be followed on October 11 at 16:00 by the formal dedication of the sanctuary's church and altar.

Officials will hold a press conference to discuss the spiritual significance of these events, the progress of the construction works, and the logistical preparations for welcoming pilgrims and media representatives to the site.
