Balatonfüred hosts Füred Art Week and Anna‑bál cultural festivals in July

Balatonfüred will hold the third Füred Art Week from July 24‑26, featuring over 20 exhibitions with paintings, sculptures, jewellery, furniture and other artworks. More than twenty galleries and auction houses will participate, and organisers expect a record number of visitors. The event is co‑organized by Art and Antique and Budapest Contemporary, with Tausz Ádám as chief organiser. Olympic sailor Vadnai Benjámin and TV2 Kincsvadászok presenters will attend, and a prize of a gold necklace worth over 200,000 forints will be awarded.

At the same time, the historic Anna‑bál – the 201st edition of the traditional Balatonfüred ball – took place, drawing families and young couples who fulfil promises made to grandparents. Participants described the occasion as a blend of family tradition, romance and local heritage, with many arriving from nearby towns and staying in local hotels. The ball highlighted the enduring cultural customs of the region, celebrated with music, dancing and formal attire.
