Balatonfüred kicks off summer with Anna‑ball and new Lake Balaton attractions

The 201st Anna‑ball, the centerpiece of the XIV Anna Festival in Balatonfüred, will take place on July 25, 2024. Organisers expect about 550 guests, with events ranging from folk dances and opera to horse‑riding rides, wine tasting and outdoor film screenings. The ball’s chief patron is Simon Attila, CEO of Herendi Porcelain, and the dinner will be served on Herendi porcelain plates.

At the same time, several new venues have opened around Lake Balaton for the 2024 season. In Balatonfüred, the Mimosa Prosecco Bar offers more than 70 prosecco varieties and light bites near the Anna Grand Hotel. The Aranyhíd Strand on the former forestry‑resort site provides swimming space for up to 250 visitors, with sunbeds, SUP boards and water bikes. Additional pop‑up eateries such as Pan’ni Artizán × Kővirág in Köveskál and the Szántódi Megálló for cyclists have also been added, expanding the region’s summer tourism offering.
