Baldivis tavern approved for $3 million development

The Metro Outer Development Assessment Panel has unanimously approved a $3 million tavern development in Baldivis, a suburb of Perth. The single-storey venue is slated for construction on an undeveloped corner of McDonald Road and Sierra Parade, adjacent to a Spudshed.

Proposed amenities for the site include a restaurant, a beer garden, and a children’s playground. The tavern is intended to serve as a social and dining hub for the local community and is expected to generate local employment.

Despite the approval, the project faces concerns regarding a significant parking shortfall. The application includes no new parking bays, and a planning report noted that the existing site is already 116 bays short of the requirements set by the City of Rockingham planning rules.
