Balearic Islands authorities debunk storm-related work suspension rumors

Authorities in the Balearic Islands have debunked false information circulating on social media regarding the suspension of the workday due to storm Adam. While official alerts were issued for red, orange, and yellow weather warnings across Mallorca, Ibiza, and Formentera, the only official measure taken was the suspension of school activities in Mallorca and the Pityusic Islands.

The misinformation, which mimicked official emergency notification formats, falsely claimed that workdays were being suspended to prevent travel. Official sources clarified that further measures will only be considered based on the evolution of the meteorological situation.
