Baleària expands vehicle export services to Algeria

Spanish maritime company Baleària has announced changes to its vehicle export services to Algeria. Currently, vehicle transport is limited to two specific routes: Valencia–Mostaganem, with three weekly departures, and Almería–Ghazaouet, with one weekly departure. The company also provides assistance with the administrative formalities required for vehicle exportation.

Starting September 16, 2026, Baleària will expand this service to all its maritime lines serving Algeria. The expanded service will include routes from Barcelona and Valencia to Algiers, Valencia to Oran, and Almería to Oran and Ghazaouet. This expansion will allow passengers to access a wider range of Algerian ports for vehicle exports.

Additionally, seasonal restrictions will be in place at Algerian ports during the summer of 2026. From June 15 to September 15, the Algerian Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport will prohibit the entry of vehicles less than three years old through the ports of Algiers and Oran. Furthermore, the boarding of utility vehicles will be prohibited at all Algerian ports during this period.
