Balàfia fire forces total demolition of residential building

A severe fire in Balàfia has resulted in the total demolition of a residential building on Vallès Street. Following the blaze, which began in a warehouse, structural assessments determined that the building is no longer safe, necessitating a complete demolition.

The incident has left approximately thirty residents displaced, including nine minors. Municipal services have provided emergency assistance, including temporary hotel accommodations for the affected families.

As a precautionary measure, an adjacent building has also been evacuated to prevent risks associated with a potential collapse during the controlled demolition process. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
