Bali Governor Wayan Koster Heads Tumpek Krulut Fest at Art Center

On August 1, 2026, thousands gathered at the Ardha Candra Art Center in Denpasar, Bali, to celebrate Rahina Tumpek Krulut, the island’s traditional Day of Love. Governor Wayan Koster attended, emphasizing that “Krulut means softness of heart, love and peace,” and urged young people to preserve the cultural values of the festival.

The evening featured a free concert with top Balinese musicians such as Lolot Band, Leeyonk Sinatra, Bagus Wirata, Joni Agung, Yong Sagita, Bintang Band, Bayu KW, Lebri Partami, Putri Bulan and Gus Veron. Social activities included food distribution, free health services, and the presentation of symbolic “tali kasih” ribbons to 30 high‑school, vocational and special‑needs students from across Bali.

The event combined entertainment, cultural education and community support, highlighting the province’s commitment to safeguarding its heritage while providing public services.
