Bali hospitality sector expands with new luxury retreats and budget-friendly options

Bali continues to expand its hospitality sector with new developments ranging from high-end wellness retreats to budget-friendly luxury accommodations.

Casa Tuya, a new 12-villa luxury wellness resort developed by Christopher Katke, has opened bookings for a July debut in Taro, Ubud. The property will focus on a low-capacity model with a five-to-one staff-to-guest ratio. It offers three signature programs—Solo, Mindful, and Wellness—alongside Tio Tio, a Mediterranean restaurant specializing in wood and charcoal cooking.

In the mid-range market, Bali remains a destination for affordable luxury. Travelers can find high-value accommodations, such as Desa Potato Head Bali, which functions as a creative village and beach club designed by Ronald Akili. Many reputable resorts on the island offer premium amenities, including infinity pools and villas, for rates under $250 per night.
