Bali Leaders Distribute Wheelchairs and Launch Free Health Services for Tumpek Krulut
On 31 July and 1 August 2026, officials in Bali marked the Hindu holiday Tumpek Krulut with a series of social‑aid initiatives. Klungkung regent I Made Satria, accompanied by deputy regent Tjokorda Gde Surya, visited several villages in the regency to hand out mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walkers, as well as disaster‑relief packages, to residents in need.
At the same time, Governor Wayan Koster issued a province‑wide directive for free health‑care services on 1 August 2026. All public and private health facilities across Bali were instructed to provide complimentary medical examinations and treatments, coordinated by local mayors and regents. The coordinated effort aims to promote the holiday’s message of love and compassion while improving public health and supporting vulnerable citizens.
