Bali villa project worker dies after fatal mob attack

A 24-year-old construction worker, Adrianus W, has died following a mob attack at a villa project dormitory in Benoa, Kuta Selatan, Bali. The incident occurred at the PT Tunas Jaya Sanur (TJS) project site in the Sawangan neighborhood.

The conflict reportedly began on Sunday, September 6, 2026, when a 19-year-old worker accidentally knocked over a sheet of corrugated metal, creating a loud noise. This led to a verbal altercation with a 22-year-old security guard. The dispute escalated into a mass assault involving other workers, leaving Adrianus W with severe injuries to his face, eyes, cheeks, right hand, and left leg.

After receiving intensive care, the victim passed away at RSUP Prof Ngoerah in Denpasar on Friday, September 12, at 7:30 PM WITA. The victim's father has requested and consented to an autopsy. Denpasar Police have secured 11 witnesses as part of their ongoing investigation into the fatal assault.
