Bali villages develop tourism plans centered on culture and nature

Several villages in Bali are advancing strategic plans to develop local tourism based on natural, historical, and cultural assets.

In Klungkung, Kadek Widiasa, a candidate for the head of Bakas Village, aims to position the area as a supporting tourism hub for the upcoming Bali Cultural Center. His platform focuses on optimizing local agriculture, MSMEs, and tourism while maintaining traditional values and environmental preservation.

In Buleleng, Bengkel Village is preparing to launch a tourism destination by 2027. The development focuses on natural attractions such as rice terraces and the Santhi Phala Waterfall for spiritual tourism, alongside prehistoric historical sites including sarcophagi. The initiative includes infrastructure improvements and human resource development to support local businesses.
