Bali's Tourism Tax Revenue Hits Rp9.28 Trillion in First Half of 2026

The Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury reported that revenue from the tourism sector's Goods and Services Tax (PBJT) reached Rp4.13 trillion through June 2026. Combined with other sources, the province's total revenue (PAD) for the first half of 2026 rose to Rp9.28 trillion, a 7.26 % increase compared with the same period in 2025.

Regional Treasury chief Supendi explained that PBJT – covering food and drink, electricity, hotels, parking and entertainment – remains the largest contributor to Bali's local taxes. He said the growth reflects a steady flow of both foreign and domestic visitors, despite ongoing global geopolitical tensions.

The rise in tourism‑related tax receipts underscores the sector’s role as the primary engine of Bali’s economy this year.
