Baljit Singh found dead in suspicious circumstances in Ludhiana

Punjabi singer and lyricist Baljit Singh was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence in Sudhar Patti Dhaliwal village, located in the Ludhiana district. Neighbors alerted authorities on Thursday morning after noticing an overpowering foul smell emanating from the locked house.

Upon entering the home, police discovered Singh’s body in an advanced state of decomposition on a bed. Preliminary investigations suggest the death may have occurred four to five days prior to discovery. Authorities noted traces of dried blood in the bedroom and adjacent areas, leading police to treat the incident as a suspected homicide.

Senior officials from the Ludhiana Rural Police have deployed specialized units to secure the crime scene. Investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area and conducting a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. The singer lived alone, and his family had not been in contact with him for several days.
