Balkan airlines and airports set record passenger volumes in July 2026

Air Serbia transported 22,098 passengers on 20 July 2026, the highest daily traffic in the carrier’s history and surpassing the previous record of more than 21,600 set on 1 August 2025. CEO Jiří Marek said the figure reflects strong summer demand, with regional hubs Tivat and Podgorica, Western European destinations Zurich and Barcelona, Euro‑Mediterranean cities Larnaca, Antalya, Athens and Istanbul, and the long‑haul Belgrade–New York route all seeing the greatest load.

Tuzla International Airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina handled a total of 73,010 passengers during July 2026, the best monthly result since the airport opened. The month recorded 41,288 arrivals and 31,722 departures across 502 flights, averaging over 2,350 passengers per day. The busiest day was 21 July with 2,955 travelers. Top destinations included Memmingen, Basel, Malmö, Dortmund, Maastricht, Cologne, Bratislava, Hamburg, Antalya and Berlin, while new services to Istanbul (operated by Pegasus) and Zurich (organized by Chair) contributed 3,388 passengers.
