Balkan galleries unveil new art exhibitions in Bosnia and Croatia
The Gallery of the Association of Applied Arts Artists (ULUPUBiH) in Sarajevo opened its new exhibition season with the project “Prostor dizajna”. The program showcases a joint display by more than 70 members of ULUPUBiH, covering graphic, product, interior, costume, photography, scenography, new media and theoretical works, and is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Sarajevo Canton.
On the Croatian island of Unije, the renovated former school building now hosts the exhibition “Vidljivo u dvije varijacije”. Painters Herman Gvardjančič and Nevio Carcich present two landscape series that offer different visual interpretations of the same motif. The opening featured remarks by curator Branka Reljac, and the show will remain open to the public until 20 August, with daily visiting hours from 20:00 to 22:00.
