Balkan leaders issue Rosh Hashanah greetings to Jewish communities

Political leaders in the Balkans have issued greetings to the Jewish community in observance of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

In Republika Srpska, President Milorad Dodik sent congratulations to Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Dodik expressed support for the State of Israel, noting the country's resilience since October 7, 2023, and emphasized Republika Srpska's stance in supporting Israel's right to defend itself against terrorism.

In Montenegro, government officials also extended holiday wishes. Minister Damjan Ćulafić sent greetings to the Jewish community in Montenegro, highlighting the holiday's themes of reflection and renewal. Vice President Budimir Aleksić praised the Jewish community's contribution to building a multicultural and tolerant society in Montenegro.
