Balkan regions experience extended warm Indian summer weather
Various regions across the Balkans and parts of Europe are experiencing an extended period of warm, sunny weather, often referred to as Indian summer. In Croatia, Zadar and surrounding areas are seeing temperatures around 25-27°C, with a potential shift toward rain and cooler temperatures expected by early October.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, sunny conditions and temperatures reaching up to 28-29°C are forecast for the coming days, though morning fog is expected in valleys. Meteorologists note that while days remain warm, nights are becoming significantly cooler, requiring seasonal clothing.
Montenegro is also seeing stable, above-average temperatures, with highs near 28°C. In Slovenia, high-pressure systems are maintaining clear skies and pleasant autumn weather. Meanwhile, in Bulgaria, a more typical autumn pattern is expected with fluctuating temperatures and increased rainfall as atmospheric disturbances move through the region.
Climatological discussions also highlight the influence of the El Niño phenomenon on upcoming winter patterns in Europe, suggesting that while the current period is warm, significant cooling and the need for heating may arrive by mid-October.
