Balkan singers share personal journeys regarding IVF and motherhood
Singer Nela Vidaković has shared her difficult journey toward motherhood through in vitro fertilization (IVF). After six years of trying various methods, she underwent hormonal therapy that resulted in significant physical side effects, including hair loss and weight changes, as well as requiring 16 infusions. She noted that she felt pregnant immediately after the embryo transfer.
In a separate account, Colonia singer Ivana Lovrić discussed the challenges of balancing her music career with motherhood. Lovrić described a difficult period in her life that led her toward spirituality and meditation. She also touched upon the exhaustion of managing performances while raising a young daughter, noting that traveling with her child during her first year was a mistake she would not repeat.
