Balkans Outdoor Clubs Announce Summer Hiking Events

The Mountaineering Society Kuk in Bosnia and Herzegovina has opened enrollment for a two‑day star‑under‑tent camp for children aged school‑age. The camp will take place on 29‑30 August at the Bučićka Ravan site and includes tent‑assembly lessons, rope climbing, workshops, meals and a night hike. Participation costs 80 KM per child and registrations close on 26 August 2026.

The Mountaineering Society Jelinak is organizing a traditional night ascent to the summit of Kamešnica on Saturday 1 August. Participants will gather at Sv. Mihovil on Žlabina at noon and aim to reach the 1 856‑metre summit before sunset. The event allows personal tents for those who wish to camp, includes a barbecue and campfire after the hike, and is led by guide Ivica Bilonić. Standard mountain equipment and a personal identification card are required.
