Balıkesir Teknokent announces capital increase and leadership continuity

Balıkesir Teknokent held its general assembly meeting, chaired by Balıkesir University Rector and Teknokent Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu. A primary outcome of the meeting was the decision to increase the institution's capital to strengthen its corporate and financial structure.

During the assembly, it was also decided that Fethiye Burcu Aydemir, who has served as General Manager since 2021, will continue in her role for an additional three years. General Manager Aydemir presented a comprehensive report on the institution's recent development, including R&D and innovation projects, the growing ecosystem of technology firms, and university-industry collaboration efforts.

The meeting was attended by various representatives from the region's industrial, commercial, and public sectors, including officials from the Balıkesir Organized Industrial Zone, the Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce, and the Balıkesir Chamber of Industry.
