Ball Arena to undergo $135 million renovation

Kroenke Sports and Entertainment (KSE) has announced a $135 million renovation project for Denver’s Ball Arena, the home of the Nuggets, Avalanche, and Colorado Mammoth. The upgrades are planned to take place in phases and are expected to be completed by the 2028-2029 seasons.

Key improvements include the expansion of the East Atrium with a new glass facade, escalators, and a team shop. To improve fan movement, the organization plans to widen entrances, exits, and concourses in high-traffic areas. Technological upgrades to point-of-sale systems are also intended to reduce wait times. Additionally, three new premium clubs will be added, including one with direct access to reserved 100-level seating.

These renovations follow the previously announced debut of new luxury suites scheduled for the 2026-2027 season. The project is part of a broader vision to transform the surrounding 55-acre property into a major entertainment district, which is expected to feature a hotel, a mid-size entertainment venue, a central park, retail, dining, and residential and office towers.
