Ball Corporation to build new beverage can plant in India
Ball Corporation has announced plans to expand its manufacturing footprint in India with a new greenfield beverage can facility in Uttar Pradesh. The new two-line aluminum manufacturing plant is expected to become operational in 2029.
The project is supported by customer contracts and government incentives, aiming to meet growing demand for sustainable aluminum packaging in the region. This investment follows the company’s existing operations in Taloja, Maharashtra, and Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, which it established after entering the Indian market in 2016.
The Westminster, Colorado-based company expects the project to generate strong economic value added (EVA) while maintaining capital expenditure guidance. The facility is intended to increase local employment and regional production capacity for both domestic and global beverage brands.
