Ballarat Base Hospital redevelopment reaches major milestone
The Ballarat Base Hospital redevelopment has reached a major milestone with the removal of the final tower crane. The removal of the crane, named Josie in honor of former nurse and volunteer Josie Ashmore, follows the completion of external structural works on the project's seven-storey clinical tower.
Grampians Health officials stated that the project is now entering its final stage. The focus will shift from external construction to the interior fit-out of the new tower, which includes tasks such as installing wall partitions, plastering, and flooring.
