Ballet Arizona and Palm Springs organizations celebrate major anniversaries

Ballet Arizona is marking its 40th anniversary season with a program designed to honor its history while exploring new creative directions. Artistic Director Daniela Cardim noted that the season includes classical works such as Ib Andersen’s ‘Romeo & Juliet’ and ‘Don Quixote,’ alongside new commissions and experimental works through the company’s Choreography Lab.

In Palm Springs, several local organizations are also celebrating milestones. The BENT, an LGBTQ+ theater company, marked its fifth season with a ‘Building a Legacy’ benefit to support diverse storytelling and representation. Additionally, Palm Springs Pride is celebrating its 40th anniversary, featuring community celebrations and performances by local artists like Jennifer Corday.
