Ballet Arizona expands with Phoenix campus acquisition and launches summer intensive

Ballet Arizona, marking its 40th anniversary season, is running a nationwide Summer Intensive program that offers students ages 3‑20 intensive training, technique development and artistic mentorship under school director James Payne.

The School of Ballet Arizona announced the acquisition of Ballet Theatre of Phoenix, creating a second satellite campus in the Phoenix area. The move preserves the legacy of founder and artistic director Jennifer Cafarella Betts while integrating the school’s faculty and curriculum. Both Payne and Betts said the expansion will broaden opportunities for existing students and families while maintaining the community’s traditions.
