Bally’s Intralot Secures €306 million Loan Ahead of Evoke Acquisition
Bally’s Intralot has signed a financing agreement for a loan of roughly €306 million (about £262 million) with institutional investors. The funds are earmarked for the proposed takeover of the UK‑listed gambling operator Evoke plc, as well as for refinancing existing debt and supporting other investment plans.
The acquisition is moving into its final phase after the public release of the Scheme Document. Shareholders must approve the deal at a court meeting and a general meeting on 17 August, with at least 75 % of votes needed. The offer values Evoke at about £243 million, with an exchange ratio of 0.537 Bally’s Intralot shares for each Evoke share, while shareholders may also elect cash payment of £0.52 per share. Regulatory clearances from competition and gambling authorities in the jurisdictions where Evoke operates are still pending.
